
Card Blocking
Our complimentary card blocking service provides extra security and protection. If you lose your SimplyGo EZ-Link or EZ-Link card, you can immediately block it to transfer any remaining stored value to a new SimplyGo EZ-Link or EZ-Link card.
You can opt-in and register for card blocking via the SimplyGo app. Sign in when you have already reported your lost card and need to nominate a new card.

How does Card Blocking work?
- 1On the card detail page, select the registered card to initiate card blocking service.
- 2Tap on the three dots on the top right corner for more options. Then select ‘Block Card’.
- 3If you have already verified your identity via Singpass MyInfo, you will be prompted fill up the refund details and click on ‘Confirm’.
- 4Click on “Proceed” to block your card.
- 5Your request will be processed.

Card Pairing via NFC
As an enhanced security measure, you will now need to pair your SimplyGo EZ-Link and EZ-Link cards via NFC to add them to your SimplyGo account. This step ensures that the physical SimplyGo EZ-Link or EZ-Link card is present during the linking process, preventing unauthorised users from adding your card to their account.
It’s a quick and secure way to ensure that only the rightful cardholder can manage the card within the app.

How does Card Pairing via NFC work?
- 1On the Home screen of the app, Tap “Add +”.
- 2Select “EZ-Link / Concession Card”.
- 3Tap and hold your physical SimplyGo EZ-Link / EZ-Link card against your phone (where the NFC antenna is) to start scanning.
- 4If you have already verified your identity via Singpass MyInfo, you will be prompted to add a Name for your card.
- 5Finally, tap “Confirm”. Your card has been added.

This verification process ensures that only you, as the rightful owner whom can access and manage your card details, account info, and refund requests.
